Key Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Professional Educator License in Deaf and Hard of Hearing, or eligibility for NC licensure through reciprocity
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated background in teaching and supporting PreK–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams and families
- Must be available to provide services fully onsite
Role Highlights:
- Provide direct instruction to students based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with general and special education staff, related service providers, administrators, and family members to ensure student needs are met
- Conduct student assessments, contribute to the development and ongoing monitoring of IEPs
- Maintain accurate records for compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and work with teams to promote quality outcomes
- Use ECATS and Infinite Campus for documentation and data tracking
This part-time role (29 hours per week) runs from August 17, 2026 to June 4, 2027, offering the satisfaction of supporting student growth in an educational setting.
