Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active North Carolina Professional Educator License in Deaf and Hard of Hearing, or qualify for NC licensure through reciprocity.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Proven ability to work with PreK–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to deliver services exclusively on-site.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Partner effectively with teachers, special education personnel, related service providers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Conduct educational and functional communication assessments; actively participate in developing and monitoring IEPs.
- Keep accurate records and uphold compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Contribute thoughtfully to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Foster academic, social, and communication development for students within a welcoming school environment.
Assignment Details:
- Contract runs from August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
- Part-time schedule: 29 hours per week.
- Serve a diverse PreK–12 caseload.
- Utilize systems such as ECATS and Infinite Campus.
