Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Teaching Certification in Visual Education
- Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Certification
- Experience supporting preschool-aged students is highly desirable
- Background working with medically fragile or unique-needs children preferred
- Strong collaborative and consultative communication skills
- Ability to provide guidance and expertise to school teams and families
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a consultative resource for the educational team supporting a preschool student who is Deaf/Hard of Hearing and currently in a medically fragile state
- Offer professional insights and recommendations regarding instructional adaptations and communication strategies
- Remain adaptable, as student start date and need for service is contingent upon medical updates
- Ensure compliance with all state-specific educational requirements
- Support the team in developing a safe and accessible learning environment
