Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Broomfield, CO
Step into a meaningful role as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to support and empower K-12 students across a diverse caseload in a dynamic educational environment. Collaborate closely with other educators and staff to create inclusive learning experiences, Monday through Friday, at 35 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Colorado teaching certification or license for Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Proven experience or training in serving students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across elementary, middle, and high school settings.
- Deep understanding of accommodations, assistive technology, and differentiated instruction for students with hearing challenges.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.
- Passion for fostering inclusion and positive learning outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and adapt curriculum to support Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across K-12 grades.
- Conduct assessments, track progress, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Consult regularly with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accessible classroom experiences.
- Provide guidance and advocacy to help students maximize educational opportunities.
- Engage in professional development and training related to best practices in Deaf education.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication with families, service providers, and administrators.
