You’ll provide specialized instruction and guidance, ensuring students receive the support and tools they need to succeed developmentally and academically.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience or strong knowledge working with early childhood/preK children
- Familiarity with assistive technology, communication modalities, and language development strategies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborative approach to working with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational plans for Deaf/Hard of Hearing PreK students
- Support language, communication, and social-emotional growth in an inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop individualized goals
