Teacher of the Deaf in Montross, VA

Desired Qualifications:
- Virginia licensure (or eligibility) as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with children or adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in educational settings
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies and accommodations for DHH students
- Knowledge of creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
- Collaborative communication and a commitment to promoting inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support services to students with hearing impairments
- Develop, adapt, and implement instructional materials to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to facilitate student success

- Engage families in the educational process by providing resources, updates, and strategies for home support
- Travel between specified local sites to ensure comprehensive service delivery
