Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing

- Capacity to adapt teaching approaches based on each student’s unique communication needs
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting lessons as needed for language and learning needs
- Use ASL fluently to facilitate both academic and social communication
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively with other educators and specialists
- Advocate for students’ access to curriculum, resources, and classroom participation
- Offer support, resources, and guidance to colleagues and families on effective strategies for students with hearing loss
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary
