What we’re looking for:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (required)
- Experience supporting high school-aged students in classroom or resource settings
- Strong knowledge of auditory/oral and/or sign language instructional strategies
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Passion for creating accessible and engaging educational materials
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with high school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, delivering direct and consultative instructional services
- Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with other educators, support personnel, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring
- Advocate for accessibility and optimal learning experiences within the school community
