Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Expertise in supporting students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Proficiency with assistive listening devices and adaptive technology
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver customized instruction to high school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Assess student needs and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to implement accommodations
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Advocate for student inclusion and accessibility within the school community
- Participate in IEP meetings and relevant staff development
