Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Proven experience working with high school-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong communication abilities in spoken and/or signed English
- Understanding of IEP development, progress tracking, and compliance procedures
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptations for hearing-impaired students
- Collaborative approach with students, families, and school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to each student’s individual needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in close partnership with educational teams
- Adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility
- Advocate for student inclusion and participation in classroom and school activities
