Location: On-site in Berkeley, CA, with itinerant duties districtwide.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct and consultative services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple school sites.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student access and achievement.
- Developing and implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Participating actively in team meetings and coordinating resources to enhance instructional delivery.
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing teaching credential and California Teaching Credential (CTC).
- Proven experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an educational setting.
- Strong consultative skills with both staff and families.
- Ability to work independently while managing an itinerant caseload.
- Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and inclusive education.
