Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Oakland, California
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity encompasses supporting students across the district in an itinerant, consultative capacity. Work on-site with a diverse caseload ranging from early childhood through transition age, engaging with multiple schools centered in San Francisco’s Richmond area.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching credential, including California CTC
- Experience in itinerant or multi-site school-based services preferred
- Strong consultative and collaborative skills to partner with teachers, support staff, and families
- Dedication to creating inclusive, accessible learning environments
- Ability to travel between school sites as needed
What You’ll Contribute:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students EC to transition-age with hearing loss
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school teams to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, participate in meetings, and monitor student progress
- Advocate for students’ communication needs while supporting their academic and social-emotional growth
- Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding deaf education best practices
