What You’ll Need:
- Current active DOE certification
- Successful completion of fingerprinting requirements
- Experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Flexibility to work with varied caseloads and age groups (final assignments to be confirmed)
- Commitment to supporting diverse communication needs, including sign language and assistive technology
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and fellow educators
What You’ll Do:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on the design of individualized student plans
- Consult with general education teachers and staff on best practices for inclusion and accessibility
- Monitor and document student progress, ensuring optimal educational outcomes
- Serve as an advocate and resource for students and their families
