Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Current and active DOE Certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, ideally within a school environment
- Prepared to complete time-sensitive fingerprinting and credentialing requirements prior to start
- Ability to be flexible in supporting a caseload that may change as district needs are finalized
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored and engaging instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Assess individual educational needs and develop plans that encourage academic growth and confidence
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, interventionists, and support personnel to foster inclusion
- Maintain required records, documentation, and communication with families and staff
- Travel between assigned schools as determined by the district
