Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Florida Department of Education Certification specializing in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Background in DHH education, either as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or similar role
- Experience working with students from Kindergarten through Grade 12
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as an itinerant provider
- Completion of fingerprinting and credentialing requirements (may be able to pull from Department of Health records)
- Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver DHH support services to students across a range of grade levels (K-12)
- Guide and assist with Functional Listening Evaluations (FLEs) district-wide
- Support Usher Syndrome screenings throughout the district
- Gather audiological evaluations and ensure proper upload to PEER system
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to build accessible educational environments
