Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Department of Education (DOE) certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Previous experience with K-12 students in school settings, preferably as a DHH teacher or specialist
- Comfortable working across multiple school sites (itinerant)
- Strong documentation skills for educational and audiological data management
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting requirements; prints may be transferable from the Department of Health
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and consultative DHH services for students across various schools
- Support family learning events (FLEs) throughout the district
- Assist with district-wide Usher Syndrome screenings
- Collect, manage, and upload audiological evaluations to the PEER system
- Collaborate with general education and support staff, ensuring inclusion and effective learning environments
- Travel between assigned schools to provide consistent and meaningful support
