A position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education within a public school setting in Oakland, CA. This contract role involves working itinerantly across various schools, primarily in the Richmond area, serving students from early childhood through transition age. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid DHH teaching credential and CTC certification

Location & Schedule:

  • On-site position within Oakland, CA schools, mostly in the Richmond area
  • Contract term from August 11, 2026, to June 2, 2027
  • Part-time, 35 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students who are DHH
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student learning
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide consultation and resources districtwide
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of services and student progress
