Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington state teaching license with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience or training in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to tailor instructional strategies to various learning needs and styles
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, adapting lessons to individual needs
  • Collaborate with general education staff, support teams, and families to develop and implement IEPs
  • Monitor student progress, documenting growth and adjusting instructional approaches as necessary
  • Engage in ongoing communication with parents/guardians to update on progress and foster support
  • Participate in school-wide professional development and team meetings
