Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Stuart, Florida

As an itinerant professional, you’ll provide essential DHH services throughout multiple campuses, working with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida DOE Certification required
- Previous experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or related role
- Knowledge and ability to provide DHH support across a range of school ages, K-12
- Comfortable traveling between several school locations
- Familiarity with best practices for audiological evaluations, Usher screenings, and FLEs is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work with students, staff, and families effectively
- Must complete fingerprint background check (potential for pull from Department of Health if available)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct DHH support and instruction to eligible students across district schools
- Collect, review, and upload audiological evaluations using accepted district platforms
- Perform and assist with Usher screenings and Functional Listening Evaluations as required
- Collaborate with education teams, audiologists, and district staff
- Travel between multiple school sites providing itinerant services
- Participate in team meetings and maintain thorough documentation
