You will work onsite for the 2026-2027 academic year, delivering vital services that empower each student to thrive.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Department of Education Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
- Experience delivering DHH services to students from kindergarten through high school
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency in supporting Functional Listening Evaluations (FLEs) and Usher Screenings
- Familiarity with collecting and managing audiological evaluations
- Must complete fingerprinting per district guidelines; prints may be transferred from DOH where applicable
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide itinerant DHH services to a diverse caseload of students (K-12)
- Collaborate with school teams to create and implement individualized education plans
- Facilitate and assist in districtwide Functional Listening Evaluations and Usher Screenings
- Collect, review, and upload audiological evaluation data to PEER systems accurately and securely
- Offer consultation and resources to staff and families to optimize student access to learning
- Maintain thorough records and ongoing communication with stakeholders
