Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Vista, CA

In this position, you will be providing specialized instruction and advocacy for approximately 7 or 8 students, with most students on a monthly service schedule and three receiving more intensive weekly support. Adaptability and dedication will allow you to tailor interventions and help these students thrive.
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- An active California Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License
- Previous experience supporting diverse learners and collaborating closely with IEP teams
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to create accessible learning materials and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Passion for empowering students to achieve their educational goals
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering individualized and group instruction as outlined in student IEPs
- Consulting with educators and specialists to foster an inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting students in self-advocacy and communication development
- Regularly documenting and reporting student progress
- Communicating with families and contributing to IEP meetings
