DHH Teacher | Vista, California

You will provide instruction and support to approximately 7 or 8 students who have DHH needs outlined in their IEPs. Your weekly and monthly sessions will ensure these students receive the accommodation and growth opportunities they deserve. Currently, three students receive 60 minutes of services per week, with others scheduled monthly, allowing you to tailor your approach and develop meaningful educational relationships.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Valid and active California Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing credential
- Experience with individualized instruction, particularly for DHH students
- Ability to collaborate with special education teams and communicate with families
- Understanding of IEP processes and the ability to adapt instruction accordingly
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct services and consultation based on IEP requirements
- Coordinate and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Collaborate with other educational professionals and support staff
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
