Empower students to reach their full potential by providing specialized instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners across K-12 settings. Opportunities are available for experienced educators to support students in southern Oregon for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract-based position offers flexibility with both in-person and virtual (VOCO) teaching modalities, covering multiple locations within Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, and Klamath counties.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching credentials with appropriate certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
  • Demonstrated experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in K-12 public school environments
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of best practices in Deaf education
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for teaming with multidisciplinary professionals and families
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching, adapting methods for diverse learner needs
  • Flexibility to provide instruction in-person or via virtual platforms

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized education plans tailored to each student’s needs and abilities
  • Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and interpreters to ensure access and accommodations
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
  • Engage actively in IEP meetings, ongoing evaluations, and professional development
  • Support students’ communication, academic, and social-emotional growth in both individual and group settings
