State Requirements – Texas
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
Valid Texas teaching certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
Typical Job Duties
Provide direct instructional services to students with hearing impairments
Adapt curriculum and materials to meet student needs
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Support use of assistive listening devices and communication methods
Participate in IEP meetings and track student progress
