Teacher of the Deaf in Yelm, WA

Qualifications:
- Valid and active Washington State teaching license with appropriate endorsement for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Prior experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting is highly desirable
- Proficiency in sign language (ASL or SEE) preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual student needs
- Commitment to cultivating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and specialized support for DHH students
- Assess students' needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate student success

- Monitor and document student progress, adapting interventions as necessary
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
