Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist
- Previous experience with K-12 student populations
- Expertise in conducting assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility to support both current student needs and future coverage leave requirements

Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students, supporting language and communication development
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to guide instructional planning and accommodations
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Serve as a resource for staff and families on best practices for deaf/hard of hearing education
- Facilitate access to assistive technology and modify curriculum materials as needed
- Provide professional learning opportunities for staff regarding deaf and hard of hearing education
- Advocate for each student’s needs within the school community
