Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License (for TN)
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
- Comfortable working with K-12 age groups, tailoring support by grade level
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, on-site at assigned schools
- Develop and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide guidance and resources to general education staff to promote accessibility and inclusion
- Collaborate with families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing progress monitoring
- Support students across multiple campuses as assigned
