Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Aurora, Illinois

What We're Looking For:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement (required)
- Experience working as a DHHT in K-8 educational settings preferred
- Knowledge of current best practices in deaf education and accessible instructional strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students according to IEP goals
- Travel between assigned school sites to provide direct and consultative services
- Work collaboratively with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom activities to ensure accessibility
- Support the development of student advocacy and self-advocacy skills
- Maintain required documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and legal guidelines
