Grades 6 - 8 Early Childhood Teacher of the Deaf in Everett, WA
This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, serving students across early childhood through high school (K-12). This is a contract role located in Everett, WA, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across multiple grade levels (K-12).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate an inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize innovative teaching strategies to engage students and accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Assist in district-wide initiatives to enhance educational services for students with hearing impairments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional plans to ensure academic growth and development.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Master’s level degree in Education focused on teaching deaf students.
- State teaching certification in Deaf Education.
- Experience working with students from early childhood to high school grades.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a district setting.
Working conditions:
- Contract position based in Everett, WA.
- 30+ hours per week, 5 days a week.
- Serving the K-12 student population.
