Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (state credentials required)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities used by students with hearing loss
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with families, teachers, and support staff
- Commitment to supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) and student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to ensure accessible learning experiences
- Offer consultative services and training to staff regarding best practices in Deaf education
- Encourage student self-advocacy and foster independence within the educational setting
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.33 to $55.33. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
