Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (state-specific credentials may be required)
- Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and assistive listening technologies
- Previous experience in a school-based or educational setting preferred
- Commitment to individualized education plans and student development
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth through accessible teaching methods
- Work with multidisciplinary school teams to adapt curriculum and facilitate classroom integration
- Provide consultation and advocacy for students and families, ensuring equitable access to resources
- Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
