DHH Teacher | Kent, Washington

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse student needs
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in individual and group settings
- Develop, modify, and implement IEP goals in alignment with student strengths and needs
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support student growth
- Serve as a resource to educational teams, sharing expertise and strategies to support accessibility
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices
