Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certificate
- Demonstrated experience supporting deaf and hard of hearing students, ideally in school settings
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for D/HH students
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to flexible service delivery across multiple school sites
- Enthusiasm for teaming up with existing TODs to share expertise and problem-solve
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to assigned caseload of D/HH students
- Tailor instructional approaches to meet diverse learning and communication needs
- Coordinate with the district’s TOD and other staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and family consultations as needed
- Stay current with best practices for deaf education and accessible instruction
