Location: Cumberland Furnace, TN (Nashville Area Suburb)
Type: Full-Time Contract (Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week)
Duration: ASAP start through May 20, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and educational support to students with hearing loss from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Implement strategies and accommodations to enhance communication access and learning outcomes.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
- Support family engagement and provide resources to enhance student success.
- Maintain compliance with district policies and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education certification for Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Willingness to undergo fingerprint-based background checks and complete required district paperwork.
- Experience working with children and adolescents with hearing loss preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with educators, families, and specialists.
