Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience or strong interest in serving diverse K-12 populations
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting and background check requirements (assistance provided)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptable, organized, and committed to student-centered practices
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering specialized instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Managing varying caseloads based on real-time district needs
- Consulting with classroom teachers and support staff to provide accommodations
- Keeping accurate records and contributing to IEP meetings
- Engaging with families to support student learning and self-advocacy
This assignment runs through May 20th, 2026, Monday through Friday, with a 37.5-hour workweek. Compensation is based on teaching experience and reflects a commitment to valuing your professional background.
