Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Tennessee DOE Certification (active)
- Experience or interest in working within K-12 settings
- Thorough understanding of Deaf/Hard of Hearing education methods and technology
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and background checks as required
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional support and advocacy for DHH students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs
- Encourage a positive, inclusive, and accessible classroom environment
- Monitor and document student progress effectively
