Key Qualifications:

  • Valid DHHT (Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher) certification
  • Experience working with high school-aged students preferred

  • Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials to meet individualized needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support to high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and related service providers to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in accordance with state and federal requirements
  • Provide consultation and resources to faculty regarding strategies, accommodations, and technology supports
  • Partner with families and advocate for student needs, fostering academic and social success
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation on student progress
  • Approximately 15 hours per week, following the school calendar for the full academic year
