Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Owego, NY
An opportunity is available for a full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support students during the 2026-2027 school year in Owego, NY. This onsite contract position will provide specialized instruction tailored to meet the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ unique communication and learning needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Utilizing appropriate assistive technology and communication methods
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student evaluations
Qualifications:
- Certification and experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Knowledge of deaf education methodologies and assistive technologies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction plans

Contract Details:
