The majority of services are consultative or provided monthly, giving you a schedule with both structure and flexibility.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility for this credential)
- Experience supporting students with hearing impairments across multiple grade levels preferred
- Skill in IEP development, case management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in utilizing assistive technologies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Commitment to effective communication with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative instruction/support across grades Pre-K through 13
- Manage IEPs, monitor student progress, and maintain compliance documentation
- Collaborate with general/special educators, related service providers, and families
- Support and train staff in assistive technology and effective classroom strategies
- Travel to multiple buildings within the district as needed
