Make a significant impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a contract position starting August 10, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. In this role, you'll serve a diverse caseload of 48 students across a variety of grade levels ranging from Pre-K through age 21 in a dynamic educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting students with hearing differences in school settings
- Strong familiarity with IEP development, case management, and delivering consultative services
- Proficiency in utilizing assistive technology to enhance student access
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and serve a total caseload of 48 students, providing both consultative and direct services as determined by individual needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, tracking student progress and communicating successes or challenges
- Provide instruction and support with assistive technology, facilitating access to curriculum for all students
- Deliver direct support according to the service breakdown:
- Monthly visits for 21 students (20–30 minutes each)
- Quarterly consultation for 16 students
- Bi-monthly sessions for 4 students (30 minutes per session)
- Three times per month for 2 students (sessions of 10–30 minutes)
- Intensive direct service for 1 student, three times weekly (60 minutes per session)
- Serve students in 25 different buildings, ensuring thorough documentation and coordinated care across sites
