We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a full-time, itinerant contract position serving students in the Gastonia, North Carolina area for the 2026–2027 school year.

Location: Gastonia, NC
Responsibilities
Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across assigned school locations.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
Partner with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success and ensure appropriate accommodations.
Promote effective communication strategies and advocate for the unique needs of students with hearing differences.
Qualifications
Valid North Carolina licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Masters Degree in education for teaching deaf students
Experience working with school-aged students is preferred.
