Key Qualifications:
- Current certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, with relevant state credentials.
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Strong understanding of assistive technology and communication methods used in DHH education (such as ASL, cued speech, and amplification systems).
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills for collaborating with school teams, students, and families.
- Reliable transportation to travel between campuses in Fort Worth and Dallas.
Position Highlights:
- Support a total of four students: three at three different campuses in Fort Worth and one in Dallas.
- Manage a very low caseload, allowing for focused, high-quality instruction and student engagement.
- Provide direct services, consultation, and advocacy to ensure students have full access to educational opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with school staff and families to advocate for and enhance accommodations and modifications.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
