Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Fort Worth, Texas

Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Experience working with students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, ages birth–high school
- Proficiency in sign language is highly preferred
- Commitment to equitable access and ongoing professional development
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing across a spectrum of ages and needs
- Develop, implement, and adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility and inclusion
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to integrate strategies across learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings, prepare progress reports, and track student goals
- Use sign language and/or assistive technology as appropriate to facilitate learning and communication
- Create a supportive and encouraging classroom or itinerant teaching atmosphere
