Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This unique, part-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a small group of learners, making individualized attention and care a top priority. With only four students on your caseload—three across different campuses in Fort Worth and one in Dallas—you'll provide specialized instruction tailored to each child's needs.
This flexible role requires just 10 hours per week, giving you the ability to balance work with your other commitments while building strong connections with your students and their teams. Travel between campuses allows you to be part of multiple school communities and make a direct difference where it's needed most.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with school-aged children who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and developing appropriate instructional strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to travel between campuses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and success for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services to a low caseload of students across multiple campuses
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
