Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or equivalent state credentials
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong understanding of various communication modalities (ASL, oral/aural approaches, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, critical for multi-campus support
- Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to a very small group of students across specified campuses
- Consult with school staff regarding best practices and classroom accommodations
- Create and monitor progress toward educational goals outlined in each student's IEP
