Make an impact by supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a dynamic school setting. This part-time contract role gives you the opportunity to work closely with a small caseload, ensuring individualized attention and meaningful progress for each learner. You’ll be serving a total of four students across three campuses in Fort Worth and one in Dallas, making a difference where it matters most.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (state requirements must be met)
- Demonstrated experience supporting children with hearing impairments in educational environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and school staff
- Flexibility for travel between campuses in Fort Worth and Dallas
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
What You’ll Do:
- Provide tailored instruction and support to students identified as deaf or hard of hearing
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and educational teams to adapt materials and teaching strategies
- Track progress and maintain accurate documentation for each student’s growth and goal achievement
- Ensure all accommodations and modifications specified in IEPs are fully implemented
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource to staff and families regarding hearing loss, assistive technology, and communication methods
