You’ll work closely with students, families, and school staff to ensure academic success and foster confidence in communication. As a valued educator, your expertise will be instrumental in adapting instruction and providing individualized services to meet each student's unique needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching certification in Wisconsin (travel candidates must hold state certification)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
  • Experience with auditory/oral and/or ASL instruction methods preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies for diverse learners
  • Previous school-based experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, both individually and in group settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
  • Provide resources and support for inclusion within the general education environment
  • Utilize technology and adaptive devices as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports

This role offers travel professionals tax-free stipends for housing and meals (if eligible). Contract renewals for the following school year are dependent on performance and continuing need, offering growth potential for dedicated educators.
