DHH Teacher | Gridley, California

You'll work on-site (not virtually), providing essential services to approximately 30 students in multiple school locations—offering both variety and impact in your daily workweek.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching credentials for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) in the state
- Experience in schools as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of assistive technology, including cochlear implants
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience adapting lessons to different ages and learning environments
- Ability to manage a flexible, county-wide caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to DHH students across various schools within the county
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech pathologists, and support staff
- Travel between school sites as needed to reach all students on caseload
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) specifically tailored for each student’s needs
- Advise families and school teams on best practices and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Remain up-to-date with the latest educational strategies and assistive technologies
