Key Qualifications:
- Credentialed and experienced in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Comfortable traveling countywide and adapting to various school sites.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instructional strategies for DHH students, including those with Cochlear implants.
- Skilled in working with a caseload of approximately 30 students at varying grade levels.
- Familiar with developing and implementing IEPs for DHH students.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills for working alongside teachers, family members, and district staff.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing direct instruction and support services to DHH students in a variety of educational settings.
- Serving as an advocate and resource for students and staff regarding hearing loss and accessibility.
- Developing, reviewing, and updating IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining records, and communicating regularly with educators and guardians.
- Offering expertise and recommendations on adaptive technology and instructional accommodations.
- Assisting and training staff on best practices for supporting students with hearing impairments.
You’ll work a consistent 35 hours per week, with the rewarding challenge of adapting to different environments and needs.
