Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Yuba City, CA

Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Demonstrated experience with auditory devices, including cochlear implants
- Comfort and flexibility in traveling throughout the county to support students at multiple sites
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to individualized instruction that meets the unique needs of each learner
Responsibilities:
- Serve students across various locations, not just a single school
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to optimize accessibility and success
- Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to foster inclusive practices
- Offer training and support to school personnel regarding assistive technologies and best practices
- Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
