Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification
- Experience teaching or supporting students with hearing differences in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and grade levels
- Willingness to travel between school buildings as required by caseload
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working closely with students, families, and educational teams
- Comfort with virtual interview and consultation formats, including Zoom
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with varying levels of hearing loss, from preschool through high school
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, interpreters, and other related service providers to develop and implement appropriate educational plans
- Support students’ integration and success in mainstream educational environments
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and maintain detailed educational records
- Travel to multiple school sites as necessary to ensure timely support for all assigned students
