Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching certification in Minnesota, or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with general education staff, families, and support professionals
- Knowledge of assistive technology and current best practices in DHH education
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing loss, both individually and in small groups
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students’ unique communication and learning requirements
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to promote student success and advocate for accessibility
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate a variety of learning styles and needs
- Participate actively in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
